REAP aims to promote positive change by advocating the importance of a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle in the Philippines. Exchange participants will get to educate communities about nutrition and participate in the development of waste management procedures and sustainability in Manila in order to improve the Filipino’s means of living.

JOB DESCRIPTION

EPs CAN EXPECT TO EXPERIENCE THE FOLLOWING THINGS:

TRAINING
EPs will undergo workshops with experts to enhance their knowledge on waste management methodologies, nutrition, and urban gardening techniques.
INSTRUCTIONAL
EPs will be teaching local communities about the basics and importance of nutrition, waste management, sustainability measures, and urban gardening.


SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN
EPs will be constructing a social media campaign to spread REAP's advocacy to a larger audience.

PROPOSAL MAKING
EPs will be creating proposals to be sent to the communities in an effort to improve their current waste management and sustainability procedures.

FUNDRAISING
EPs will come up with a fundraiser to garner expenses for the project's initiatives.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
Work to improve the beneficiaries’ knowledge on the basics of nutrition and the importance of living health, as well as the improvement of a community’s waste management system and sustainability.

Create a proposal to be given to the community regarding waste management and resource sustainability regulations that could be implemented.
​
Conceptualize and execute a social media campaign designed to promote the advocacy of REAP.
​
Aid in fundraising in order to come up with funds for REAP materials and culminating activities.
Documentation of the project’s progress over the duration of Mid-cycle and post-cycle evaluations on the project.
Testimonial about the experience.
​
Exhibit a good work ethic where all work is done from the heart, not just from feeling obligated to do so.

HOW SHOULD YOU PREPARE?

Brush up on your English
The medium of instruction in many schools and the language you will have to use to communicate with the kids and our partners will be English. Please do make sure that you can comprehend and communicate through English.

Do Initial Research
Though there will be learning partners for the project, initial research on education in the Philippines will be helpful. You can also try to find lesson plans and school activities you can use during the learning sessions with the beneficiaries.
